Lives and works in New York City

Creator and host of Recipe$ 4 $urvival, Utilitarian Cooking and Much Moreone of the longest running shows to maintain a primetime schedule on Manhattan’s Neighborhood Network brought ‘D’ into the homes of one of the largest and broadest viewing demographics in the nation while also catapulting her and the show into cult classic fame.  Fans loved watching her cook in her E. Village apartment, and meeting her friends while she shared gentle dharma messages, survival techniques, the importance of maintaining basic staples, and cooking with ingredients that cost no more than $4, thanks to a locked off HI8 video camera set up on a tripod and a remote device to activate the camera.

Donna’s latest project, The DVine Line focuses on her passion for the power of symbolism. The project’s goal is to raise the awareness of the cup, the transmutation of the vessel and the offering bowl, from the mundane, to its ancient iconographic status as the ultimate symbol of a DVine and tranquil mind, Infinite Possibility, receptivity, friendship, abundance, protection…all that the cup is Dfinitive of.

Donna has presented many successful art projects and gained recognition as an emerging artist in NY City’s art world. A collection of her, ‘D-Rolls’, a body of collage and mixed media pieces was included in the Pierogi flat files in 2003. That same year an installation of the D-Rolls was a centerpiece in The Oasis Windows, 129 W. 42nd St. curated by Chashama. D-Rolls are in private collections in New York City, Los Angeles, Adelaide, Australia and Japan. They were featured in Strength in Numbers, WAH (Williamsburg Art Center) benefit auction, the inaugural TOAST– the Tribeca Open Studio, 84 Franklin St. Gallery, The Tiny Art Show at Zito Gallery and most recently they are included in the ‘’ salon as part of the Governor’s Island Art Fair, the month of September ‘09 . http://www.d-rolls.com/
